Jessica Bender, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I want to invite you into a healing space where therapy feels like talking to a friend.
I like for my clients to recognize that I am only human, just as they are. My words to you will never sound like they are coming from a textbook, but rather from simply another person who knows what it is like to have thoughts, feelings, stressors, and memories. None of us “have it all figured out,” not even therapists. Clients often tell me that my approach allows them to see that they are not alone in what they are going through.
Together, we’ll explore how present issues may be affecting you and your quality of life. We will often be able to connect your current experiences with your past experiences, and examine much of what led you to become the “you” that you are today. Your personality, your passions, your strengths, your vulnerabilities. Your supports, your daily routine, your diet and nutrition. By taking a close look at all of the above, we will work together toward a common purpose – whether that be to heal, to problem-solve, to establish healthy connections – or even just to grow as a person. Through this process, my hope is for you to feel empowered to be the “you” you want to be!"
MY APPROACH
Clients often tell me I helped them—connect who they are to who they want to be—by understanding who they were.
